How to Use a Leave-In Tallow Cream (Without Grease)

Edges, scalp & beards—by hair type and style.

The press—don’t rub method

  1. Warm a rice-grain between fingertips until clear.
  2. Press into scalp/edge skin first, then sweep through hairs.
  3. Feather with comb/brush; add a pin-head more only if needed.

Finish is soft, not glossy; build slowly.

Exact amounts by hair type

Straight/Fine

Edge or part: half rice-grain. Mid-lengths: dust hands and skim.

Wavy/Medium

Edge or part: one rice-grain. Waves: pea for both hands → scrunch.

Coily/Thick

Edge or part: one to two rice-grains. Twists/braids: pea per section → press.

Beards

Short: rice-grain. Full: pea. Press to skin first, then out.

Protective styles & wash days

  • Under braids/locs: melt on fingertips, tap along parts; do not flood.
  • Wash day: after towel-dry, press rice-grains along scalp map; air-dry or diffuse.
  • Daily: touch up visible zones only (edges/part); reapply after workouts.

Why it works as a leave-in

Tallow + castor + jojoba + batana condition and reduce the look of breakage; rosemary + caffeine + peppermint provide an invigorated feel; shea + mango lock in hydration with low shine.

Appearance/feel claims only. External use.
