It started with two little faces I love more than anything. Madison and Morielle wanted to feel confident in their own skin, but the “clean” and “miracle” products we tried left irritation, dryness, or results that faded fast. I kept reading labels that looked more like chemistry exams than care.
So I did the most Dad thing possible: I went to the kitchen.
I learned to read an INCI list, studied preservation and pH, and stripped formulas back to what skin actually recognizes. I rendered grass-fed tallow and blended in purposeful botanicals. Night after night, I tweaked texture until a balm melted like butter and wore like cashmere. We tested slowly. We patch-tested. We took notes.
And then came the New York in me. This city raised me to say it plain and show your work. I stopped apologizing for going against trends. If fewer ingredients work better, we use fewer.
